What is a brand?

Southside has recently had major changes to its image. Along with this logo you will notice changes in appearance to our letterhead, business cards, mailing and tithe envelopes, and any printed or internet media associated with Southside. Below you fill find a brief explanation on why not just branding, but good branding, is crucial to the church.

A brand is a church's face to the world. It is the church's name, how that name is visually expressed through a logo, and how that name and logo are extended throughout a church's communications. A brand is also how the church is perceived by its participants -- the associations and inherent value they place on your church.

A brand is a kind of promise. It is a set of fundamental principles as understood by anyone who comes into contact with a church A brand is a church's state of being and how that state is expressed through its various communications media to its key audiences, including members, guest, volunteers and the general public. A brand can also describe these same attributes for a church's services, and initiatives.
